- Bar Screen Chamber – Manual or mechanical coarse/fine screening

Treatment Process Flow Description:
Primary Treatment:
- Screening Unit removes floating and large solids.
- Oil & Grease Trap eliminates fats and oils.
- Equalization Tank with air mixing handles flow/load variations.
Secondary Treatment (MBBR Process):
- Wastewater enters the MBBR aeration tank filled with floating bio-media.
- Aerobic microorganisms form biofilm on the media and degrade organic pollutants (BOD/COD).
- Blowers supply oxygen through fine bubble diffusers.
Secondary Clarification:
- Water flows into Tube Settler or Clarifier for separation of biological sludge.
- Sludge is collected in a holding tank for periodic disposal.
Tertiary Treatment:
- Treated water passes through Pressure Sand Filter (PSF) and Activated Carbon Filter (ACF) to remove fine particles, color, odor, and residual organics.
- Followed by chlorine dosing or UV disinfection for pathogen removal.
Ultrafiltration (UF) – Advanced Polishing Stage:
- UF membranes (0.01 micron) remove bacteria, viruses, turbidity, suspended solids, and any residual organic matter.
- Final effluent is suitable for reuse in flushing, gardening, car washing, or discharge as per CPCB norms.
